Rental licensing in Cottage Grove

Rental license required

Cottage Grove requires a rental license for every non-owner-occupied home. Single-family homes, townhomes, twin homes, and duplexes are licensed every two years and inspected when the license fee is due. The city also requires a criminal history report from the owner with the application and the Minnesota Crime Free Lease Addendum signed by all tenants.

For the homes we manage, we take care of the city's licensing or registration steps and keep owners compliant as the rules change.
