Rental licensing in Edina

Rental license required

Edina requires an annual rental license for any home that isn't owner-occupied, including single-family homes, duplexes, townhomes and condos. Licensing runs through the city's Public Health Division, and single-family, townhome and condo rentals are inspected every other year — more often if there are violations.

For the homes we manage, we take care of the city's licensing or registration steps and keep owners compliant as the rules change.

Rate lock: Sign a management agreement by December 31, 2026, and your monthly management fee for that home ($99 for your first home, $79 for each additional home) won't go up for as long as that agreement stays in effect. A vacancy doesn't end it. Cancelling the agreement or selling the home does.
